green tea to make everything better. this morning i discovered the band headlights (see below) whose wildlife album is equally pretty and moving and sad but full-time working in KFC is leaving me mind-numbed and listless on my days off so have done virtually nothing else this morning. i promised myself not to slip back into the dispassionate, dull, ordinary way of living when i came back from europe staring blankly at news feeds how easy it is to succumb to, eh, but not quite i am going to see “where do we go now?” at the GFT on thursday a film set in Lebannon post civil war where tensions are again beginning to rise so the women, naturally, distract the men with Ukranian show girls and hash cookies. Also heard on radio 4 a film “Electrick Children” which i must see (a mormon girl abandons her religious life upon hearing “hangin’ on the telephone by blondie). Also can’t my copy of “Lanark” it’s a shame i had a quotation i wanted to share with you all that i’m sure no one would read but i find beautifully sad. Ah well. On my desk there are 3 penguins, 6 ducks and elephant, all of which i was given, i own almost nothing.
